SHADE is being caught in shadow between city streets, blinded by longing for where you want to be. Leaving voicemails on answering machines as love letters for our future selves. It’s about connection. We throw shade and we cool down under it, listening to the bitter sweet trumpet song that keeps us bound to citylife. Featuring Cookie Mueller’s advice column in East Village Eye, Leigh Bowery dancers, and Grace Jones clones.
